With over 25 years’ experience in the housing industry, David Harrison brings a wealth of expertise and a steadfast commitment to creating affordable, sustainable communities. His career spans roles as a project manager, development consultant and urban planner, with a focus on non-market housing since 2000. Over that time, he has successfully collaborated on 60 housing projects with non-profit organizations, local business groups and governments, transforming ideas into tangible solutions that meet real community needs.

David’s dedication to innovative housing has earned him notable recognition. In 2008, he received the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) Award of Excellence for Housing for his impactful work on mental health housing in Dartmouth. His contributions to housing needs assessments along Nova Scotia’s South Shore garnered him the CIP Social Planning Award of Merit in 2017 and the Atlantic Planners Comprehensive Policy and Plan Award in 2016. These accolades reflect his ability to blend strategic vision with practical outcomes and solutions.
